The Absence of Purpose

Teachers who offer you the ultimate answers do not possess the ultimate answers.”

Tom Robbins

One of the first things that quantum mechanics has irrefutably shown us is that, despite our ignorance, there is a profound unity in the Universe.  From the impossibilities associated with classical physics such as the ultraviolet catastrophe, phenomena that we understood to be completely separate became unique under the gaze of this heterodox physics.

Unfortunately, the Consensus has enormous weight, and our understanding of reality is inextricably linked to Aristotelian logic and, consequently, to classical physics and its version 2.0: relativistic physics.

The link with philosophy, without which it is impossible to understand quantum mechanics, begins to be lost in the 1960s, and the Higgs proposal in 1964 creates a hybrid and therefore sterile version of quantum mechanics that begins to search for the fundamental particle.  The Theory of Everything, unconditionally embraced by the giant Stephen Hawking, does not escape this group.  Obviously, Hawking was much bigger than that and went back in time to the origins of quantum mechanics.

What is most embarrassing in this hybrid quantum mechanics is the unconditional search for reasons.  Especially something that explains our existence, whereas pure quantum mechanics is concerned with the interrelationship of patterns and their stability.

It is obvious that the absence of finality does not imply -in any way- the existence of harmony.  On the other hand, as the absence of a relationship between numbers and the deity, so desired by Pythagoras, has made clear to us, harmony is not a determining factor of finality.
