The Philosophical Equation of Materiality

“As far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not

certain, and as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality.”

Albert Einstein

Quantum mechanics presents us with a reality in which materiality does not exist per se but as an emergent property of the complexity of stable interrelations.

It is obvious that we have to abstract from Aristotelian logic to grasp this concept, which does not imply any nihilism or denial of existence but proposes an almost impossible flexibility in the dogmatic assumption of what is material.

To do so, we have to think philosophically from the absolute non-existence of matter, but from its relativity, where the parameters are complexity and stability of interrelations.

There is no conflict of any kind with classical physics since it ratifies the large gaps that exist between nuclei and electrons in an atom.

Finally, current science establishes that matter is made up of particles.  Thus, the dichotomy that governs the Consensus  ensures the persistence of physicists who seek to understand the philosophy behind quantum mechanics and others who happily embark on the aberration that is the Higgs boson.

The difficulty experienced by physicists most committed to understanding reality is rooted in the constant opposition of our instincts.  For example, a notebook has about 1025 particles that interact and achieve stability.  At the same time, the Earth, which contains all possible interrelationships and probable stability in patterns, is made up of 1050 particles.

Since mathematics is a language, will the moment come when an equation that expresses reality mathematically will occur?  An affirmative answer is half the battle in stabilizing the relationships between reality and quantum mechanics.
