The prices of carbon credits have halted their recovery trend in the compliance and voluntary markets, since their record pricing in mid-August 2022 of €98.43.
In the week between March 04 and 10, 2025, the EUA (European Union Allowance) contracts were traded below €71.55, losing €2.54 in a week's time, settling at €69.01. The highest volume was traded on 03/04 equalling 53,980 contracts and the lowest volume was traded on 03/10, totaling 1,027 contracts.
The prices for contracts in the CCA (California Carbon Allowance Futures), Vintage Specific 2025, gained US$ 0.00 or 0.00% since closing price on March 03, to close at US$ 29.27 on March 10.
On 03/10, the Voluntary Carbon Market for Aviation, Nature-Based, and Tech-based was quoted at US$ 0.24, US$ 0.25, and US$ 0.35, respectively. On average, they lost over 11.11% relative to their closing prices on 03/03.
The prices for the ZerO2Nature diseconomy units lost on average 4.92% relative to one week ago, closing on 03/10 at €63.54 (F-DTU), €78.05 (B-DTU), €176.05 (M-DTU), €31.42 (N-DTU), €95.69 (H-DTU), and €103.73 (C-DTU).
