The prices of carbon credits have halted their recovery trend in the compliance and voluntary markets, since their record pricing in mid-August 2022 of €98.43.
In the week between August 20 and 26, 2024, the EUA (European Union Allowance) contracts were traded below €73.00, losing €3.00 in a week's time, settling at €70.00. The highest volume was traded on 08/20 equalling 29,995 contracts and the lowest volume was traded on 08/23, totaling 16,666 contracts.
The prices for contracts in the CCA (California Carbon Allowance Futures), Vintage Specific 2022, lost US$ 0.00 or -0% since closing price on August 19, to close at US$ 26,68 on August 26.
On 08/26, the Voluntary Carbon Market for Aviation, Nature-Based, and Tech-based was quoted at US$ 0,2, US$ 044, and US$ 0,57, respectively. On average, they gained over 0.00% relative to their closing prices on 08/19.
The prices for the ZerO2Nature diseconomy units gained on average 0.64% relative to one week ago, closing on 08/26 at €57.21 (F-DTU), €70.27 (B-DTU), €158.51 (M-DTU), €28.29 (N-DTU), €86.17 (H-DTU), and €93.39 (C-DTU).
