The prices of carbon credits have halted their recovery trend in the compliance and voluntary markets, since their record pricing in mid-August 2022 of €98.43.

In the week between January 10 and 16, 2023, the EUA (European Union Allowance) contracts were traded below €81.00, losing €3.48 in a week's time, settling at €77.52. The highest volume was traded on 01/16 equalling 21,447 contracts and the lowest volume was traded on 01/12, totaling 16,621 contracts.

The prices for contracts in the CCA (California Carbon Allowance Futures), Vintage Specific 2022, gained US$ 0.04 or 0.14% since closing price on January 09, to close at US$ 29.07 on January 16.

On 01/09, the Voluntary Carbon Market for Aviation, Nature-Based, and Tech-based was quoted at US$ 2.91, US$ 2.67, and US$ 0.94, respectively. On average, they lost over 7.34% relative to their closing prices on 01/16.

The prices for the ZerO2Nature diseconomy units gained on average 7.55% relative to one week ago, closing on 01/16 at €23.10 (F-DTU), €30.78 (B-DTU), €76.98 (M-DTU), €7.71 (N-DTU), €38.30 (H-DTU), and €42.32 (C-DTU).
