The prices of carbon credits have halted their recovery trend in the compliance and voluntary markets, since their record pricing in mid-August 2022 of €98.43.
In the week between October 22 and 28, 2024, the EUA (European Union Allowance) contracts were traded above €61.00, gaining €5.00 in a week's time, settling at €66.00. The highest volume was traded on 10/24 equalling 41,943 contracts and the lowest volume was traded on 10/22, totaling 26,265 contracts.
The prices for contracts in the CCA (California Carbon Allowance Futures), Vintage Specific 2022, lost US$ 2.00 or 7.14% since closing price on October 21, to close at US$ 26,68 on October 28.
On 10/28, the Voluntary Carbon Market for Aviation, Nature-Based, and Tech-based was quoted at US$ 0,43, US$ 0,42, and US$ 0,58, respectively. On average, they gained over 0.00% relative to their closing prices on 10/21.
The prices for the ZerO2Nature diseconomy units gained on average 3.36% relative to one week ago, closing on 10/28 at €58.56 (F-DTU), €71.92 (B-DTU), €162.21 (M-DTU), €28.96 (N-DTU), €88.17 (H-DTU), and €95.58 (C-DTU).
