The prices of carbon credits have halted their recovery trend in the compliance and voluntary markets, since their record pricing in mid-August 2022 of €98.43.
In the week between December 10 and 16, 2024, the EUA (European Union Allowance) contracts were traded below €66.37, losing €1.10 in a week's time, settling at €65.27. The highest volume was traded on 12/12 equalling 47,620 contracts and the lowest volume was traded on 12/13, totaling 20,480 contracts.
The prices for contracts in the CCA (California Carbon Allowance Futures), Vintage Specific 2025, gained US$ 0.00 or 0.00% since closing price on December 09, to close at US$ 31.91 on December 16.
On 12/16, the Voluntary Carbon Market for Aviation, Nature-Based, and Tech-based was quoted at US$ 0.37, US$ 0.42, and US$ 0, respectively. On average, they gained over 6.13% relative to their closing prices on 12/09.
The prices for the ZerO2Nature diseconomy units gained on average 2.87% relative to one week ago, closing on 12/16 at €70.76 (F-DTU), €86.92 (B-DTU), €196.04 (M-DTU), €34.98 (N-DTU), €106.55 (H-DTU), and €115.50 (C-DTU).
