The prices of carbon credits have halted their recovery trend in the compliance and voluntary markets, since their record pricing in mid-August 2022 of €98.43.
In the week between February 20 and 26, 2024, the EUA (European Union Allowance) contracts were traded above €53.14, gaining €0.69 in a week's time, settling at €53.83. The highest volume was traded on 02/20 equalling 35,211 contracts and the lowest volume was traded on 02/21, totaling 23,676 contracts.
The prices for contracts in the CCA (California Carbon Allowance Futures), Vintage Specific 2022, gained US$ 0.00 or 0.00% since closing price on February 20, to close at US$ 28.66 on February 26.
On 02/26, the Voluntary Carbon Market for Aviation, Nature-Based, and Tech-based was quoted at US$ 0.60, US$ 0.31, and US$ 0.85, respectively. On average, they gained over 10.63% relative to their closing prices on 02/20.
The prices for the ZerO2Nature diseconomy units gained on average 2.64% relative to one week ago, closing on 02/26 at €48.06 (F-DTU), €59.00 (B-DTU), €133.10 (M-DTU), €23.76 (N-DTU), €72.36 (H-DTU), and €78.43 (C-DTU).
