ECO/Carbon Market Report #124/2025

The prices of carbon credits have halted their recovery trend in the compliance and voluntary markets, since their record pricing in mid-August 2022 of €98.43.

In the week between February 25 and March 03, 2025, the EUA (European Union Allowance) contracts were traded below €73.66, losing €2.11 in a week's time, settling at €71.55. The highest volume was traded on 02/27 equalling 35,020 contracts and the lowest volume was traded on 03/03, totaling 26,450 contracts.

The prices for contracts in the CCA (California Carbon Allowance Futures), Vintage Specific 2025, gained US$ 0.00 or 0.00% since closing price on February 24, to close at US$ 29.27 on March 03.

On 03/03, the Voluntary Carbon Market for Aviation, Nature-Based, and Tech-based was quoted at US$ 0.36, US$ 0.25, and US$ 0.35, respectively. On average, they lost over 12.05% relative to their closing prices on 02/24.

The prices for the ZerO2Nature diseconomy units lost on average 3.49% relative to one week ago, closing on 03/03 at €66.83 (F-DTU), €82.09 (B-DTU), €185.16 (M-DTU), €33.05 (N-DTU), €100.64 (H-DTU), and €109.10 (C-DTU).
