The prices of carbon credits have halted their recovery trend in the compliance and voluntary markets, since their record pricing in mid-August 2022 of €98.43.
In the week between March 26 and April 1, 2024, the EUA (European Union Allowance) contracts were traded below €64.84, losing €5.94 in a week's time, settling at €58.90. The highest volume was traded on 03/26 equalling 39,770 contracts and the lowest volume was traded on 03/28, totaling 21,520 contracts.
The prices for contracts in the CCA (California Carbon Allowance Futures), Vintage Specific 2022, gained US$ 0.00 or 0.00% since closing price on March 25, to close at US$ 28.66 on April 01.
On 04/01, the Voluntary Carbon Market for Aviation, Nature-Based, and Tech-based was quoted at US$ 0.60, US$ 0.47, and US$ 0.73, respectively. On average, they gained over 5.55% relative to their closing prices on 03/25.
The prices for the ZerO2Nature diseconomy units lost on average 3.81% relative to one week ago, closing on 04/01 at €55.39 (F-DTU), €67.99 (B-DTU), €153.39 (M-DTU), €27.38 (N-DTU), €83.40 (H-DTU), and €90.39 (C-DTU).
