The prices of carbon credits have halted their recovery trend in the compliance and voluntary markets, since their record pricing in mid-August 2022 of €98.43.
In the week between July 15 and July 21, 2025, the EUA (European Union Allowance) contracts were traded below €69.73, losing €0.55 in a week's time, settling at €69.18. The highest volume was traded on 07/21 equalling 20,620 contracts and the lowest volume was traded on 07/16, totaling 18,060 contracts.
The prices for contracts in the CCA (California Carbon Allowance Futures), Vintage Specific 2025, gained US$ 0.00 or 0.00% since closing price on July 14, to close at US$ 28.76 on July 21.
On 07/21, the Voluntary Carbon Market for Aviation, Nature-Based, and Tech-based was quoted at US$ 0.27, US$ 0.22, and US$ 0.35, respectively. On average, they gained over 21.20% relative to their closing prices on 07/14.
The prices for the ZerO2Nature diseconomy units lost on average 1.13% relative to one week ago, closing on 07/21 at €74.62 (F-DTU), €91.63 (B-DTU), €206.73 (M-DTU), €36.90 (N-DTU), €112.39 (H-DTU), and €121.83 (C-DTU).
