The prices of carbon credits have halted their recovery trend in the compliance and voluntary markets, since their record pricing in mid-August 2022 of €98.43.
In the week between September 24 and 30, 2024, the EUA (European Union Allowance) contracts were traded above €64.00, gaining €1.00 in a week's time, settling at €65.00. The highest volume was traded on 09/25 equalling 33,931 contracts and the lowest volume was traded on 09/27, totaling 21,369 contracts.
The prices for contracts in the CCA (California Carbon Allowance Futures), Vintage Specific 2022, lost US$ 0.00 or -0% since closing price on September 23, to close at US$ 26,68 on September 30.
On 09/30, the Voluntary Carbon Market for Aviation, Nature-Based, and Tech-based was quoted at US$ 0,33, US$ 0,35, and US$ 0,57, respectively. On average, they gained over 0.00% relative to their closing prices on 09/23.
The prices for the ZerO2Nature diseconomy units gained on average 0.63% relative to one week ago, closing on 09/30 at €55.81 (F-DTU), €68.54 (B-DTU), €154.59 (M-DTU), €27.59 (N-DTU), €84.03 (H-DTU), and €91.09 (C-DTU).
