The prices of carbon credits have halted their recovery trend in the compliance and voluntary markets, since their record pricing in mid-August 2022.
In the week between September 20 and 26, 2022, the EUA (European Union Allowance) contracts were traded below €70.34, losing €0.34 in a week's time, settling at €70.00. The highest volume was traded on 9/23 equalling 22,610 contracts and the lowest volume was traded on 9/22 (when the price hit €66.00), totaling 12,485 contracts.
The prices for contracts in the CCA (California Carbon Allowance Futures), Vintage Specific 2022, lost US$0.79 or 2.87% since September 19, to close at US$26.75 on September 26.
On 9/26, the Voluntary Carbon Market for Aviation, Nature-Based, and Tech-based was quoted at US$4.13, US$8.66, and US$2.19, respectively. On average, they lost over 1.96% relative to their closing prices on 9/19.
The prices for the ZerO2Nature diseconomy units lost on average 0.52% relative to one week ago, closing on 9/26 at €20.64 (F-DTU), €27.52 (B-DTU), €68.80 (M-DTU), €6.88 (N-DTU), €34.40 (H-DTU), and €37.84 (C-DTU).
