The prices of carbon credits have halted their recovery trend in the compliance and voluntary markets, since their record pricing in mid-August 2022 of €98.43.
In the week between January 09 and 15, 2024, the EUA (European Union Allowance) contracts were traded below €73.06, losing €6.16 in a week's time, settling at €66.90. The highest volume was traded on 01/12 equalling 30,251 contracts and the lowest volume was traded on 01/09, totaling 18,041 contracts.
The prices for contracts in the CCA (California Carbon Allowance Futures), Vintage Specific 2022, gained US$ 0.00 or 0.00% since closing price on January 08, to close at US$ 28.66 on January 15.
On 01/15, the Voluntary Carbon Market for Aviation, Nature-Based, and Tech-based was quoted at US$ 0.54, US$ 0.24, and US$ 0.73, respectively. On average, they lost over 3.57% relative to their closing prices on 01/08.
The prices for the ZerO2Nature diseconomy units lost on average 6.51% relative to one week ago, closing on 01/15 at €47.07 (F-DTU), €57.79 (B-DTU), €130.38 (M-DTU), €23.27 (N-DTU), €70.88 (H-DTU), and €76.81 (C-DTU).
