The prices of carbon credits have halted their recovery trend in the compliance and voluntary markets, since their record pricing in mid-August 2022 of €98.43.
In the week between August 29 and September 04, 2023, the EUA (European Union Allowance) contracts were traded below €85.60, losing €1.52 in a week's time, settling at €84.08. The highest volume was traded on 08/30 equalling 16,779 contracts and the lowest volume was traded on 08/31, totaling 13,640 contracts.
The prices for contracts in the CCA (California Carbon Allowance Futures), Vintage Specific 2022, gained US$ 0.00 or 0.00% since closing price on August 28, to close at US$ 29.37 on September 04.
On 08/28, the Voluntary Carbon Market for Aviation, Nature-Based, and Tech-based was quoted at US$ 0.88, US$ 2.69, and US$ 0.77, respectively. On average, they gained over 1.46% relative to their closing prices on 09/04.
The prices for the ZerO2Nature diseconomy units lost on average 1.16% relative to one week ago, closing on 09/04 at €40.16 (F-DTU), €49.32 (B-DTU), €111.23 (M-DTU), €19.86 (N-DTU), €60.47 (H-DTU), and €65.54 (C-DTU).
